LabQuest Mini is a multi-channel interface that connects to the USB port on a computer.
Follow these steps to quickly collect data with LabQuest Mini and Logger Pro:
Once you have collected data, you can analyze it, add pictures or movies to your experiment, and perform several other tasks. Take a look at the How To section for a list of the various options available in Logger Pro.
Note Regarding Power Needs: In some cases, the USB port may not be able to supply as much power as is needed by LabQuest Mini. While the USB port may work with other devices and may be able to supply sufficient power to LabQuest Mini most of the time, when certain sensors are connected, it may stop working. This is most often seen when using CO2 Sensors, O2 Sensors, or multiple Photogates. If you see connection problems or other undesirable behavior, there are two things to try. You can (1) power LabQuest Mini with a LabQuest power supply (available from Vernier Software and Technology) or (2) connect LabQuest Mini to a powered USB hub connected to the computer.
You can open the LabQuest Mini Sensor Setup dialog by clicking the LabQuest Mini icon in the toolbar.
A window will appear showing the sensor setup, units, and current readings (if Live Readouts in the Column Options dialog is checked). Here you can manually make changes to your sensor setup.
By clicking a channel with a displayed sensor, you can change the settings for the sensors that can be connected to LabQuest Mini.
