Picture

You can add a new picture to your page by choosing Picture from the Insert menu. Pictures are useful for annotation, documentation, or instruction for a particular experiment. You can also perform a Gel Electrophoresis experiment using a picture. Supported file types include: .jpg's , .bmp, .gif, .png, .tif and .pct.

Adding a Picture to a File

  1. Choose Picture from the Insert menu.
  2. In the displayed dialog, navigate to the picture you want to add.
  3. Select the file that you want and select OK.

Changing and Performing Analysis on a Picture

Clicking and dragging a resize handle will resize the picture. The picture's aspect ratio will be maintained as you resize it.

Double-click the picture or choose Picture Options from the Options menu to access the Picture Options dialog. In the Picture Options dialog you can insert a different picture and access Picture Analysis features, including graphically analyzing a picture or performing a Gel Analysis. Graphically analyzing a picture can be a powerful tool for performing analyses including plotting points along a curve.
