LabPro Sensor Setup

Follow these steps to quickly collect data with LabPro and Logger Pro:

  1. Connect power to LabPro.
  2. Connect the LabPro to your computer running Logger Pro.
  3. Connect a sensor to LabPro.
  4. If auto-ID sensors are found, live readings will be displayed on the screen. If a LabPro is found but your sensors are not identified, you should manually set up a sensor or open an appropriate experiment file.

LabPro Sensor Setup

If you want to make changes to your sensor setup, choose Set Up Sensors from the Experiment menu or click the LabPro icon in the toolbar.

Update LabPro OS

If the Update LabPro OS button is not greyed-out, it means there's a more recent LabPro operating system available. Click the button to update your LabPro. The LabPro operating system is updated from time to time to improve performance.

Available Sensors

You can scroll through the Analog/Digital Sensor Catalogs to view all available sensors. Click and drag a sensor to an appropriate Channel or DIG port to set it up.

Identify

Click the Identify button to cause the device to blink for visual identification purposes.

Enhanced Timing Accuracy

If you are using a standard AC connection, check Enhanced Timing Accuracy to prevent the LabPro from going to sleep between samples and reducing timing accuracy. Uncheck the box if you are using LabPro with batteries so LabPro can go to sleep between samples and preserve power.
