Import from LabPro or CBL 2
Choose Import From the File
menu to transfer data directly from LabPro and CBL 2 into Logger Pro.
The method for importing data will depend on the interface and cable
you are using. Detailed steps are available below for importing data
using:
- LabPro with Serial or USB Cable
- LabPro or CBL 2 with a TI Connectivity Cable
Data will be added to the data table, graphed on the screen,
and ready for further analysis. Saved (or archived) experiments in
LabPro can also be imported. This function is useful for interfaces
that have been used for remote data collection.
Import Data from a LabPro with a Serial or USB Cable
Use this command to receive data stored in a LabPro. A USB or
serial (Windows only) cable is required.
- Connect the serial or USB cable to a free serial or USB
port of the computer and to the LabPro.
- Make certain that the LabPro has power.
- With Logger Pro running, choose Import
From > LabPro... from the File
menu. Note: Choosing Import will terminate the
ongoing LabPro data collection.
- Logger Pro will identify your interface
and display the data within.
- If you want to import saved experiments, check Scan
for Saved Experiments to get a listing of archived
experiments in LabPro.
- Logger Pro will identify your LabPro
and display the data within.
- Highlight the lists and/or saved experiments you want to
import.
- Click OK. The lists or saved experiments will added to a
data table.
Import from a LabPro or CBL 2 with a TI Connectivity Cable
- Connect the TI Connectivity Cable to a free serial or USB
port of the computer and to the LabPro or CBL 2.
- Make certain that the LabPro or CBL 2 has power.
- With Logger Pro running, choose Import
From > TI Device... from the File
menu or click . Note:
Choosing Import will terminate the ongoing LabPro data collection.
- Logger Pro will identify your interface
and display the data within.
- Highlight the lists and/or saved experiments you want to
import.
- Click OK. The lists or saved experiments will added to a
data table.
Notes
Initially, the first available port in your computer is
selected, and the software will detect the device's catalog.
Port: If the cable is connected to a
different serial or USB port, you can choose the port from the
pull-down menu.
Status: The LabPro will be detected
automatically. Click the Refresh Catalog button if a new LabPro has
been connected.
Choose Lists to Import: The LabPro's
catalog will be listed. Highlight the list(s) you wish to import into
the current page and click OK.
