The Graph Options tab allows you to control how your data are plotted. The other tab on the Graph Options dialog, Axes Options, allows you to choose which data columns are plotted and how the graph is scaled. You can view the Graph Options dialog by double-clicking on the graph or by selecting the graph and choosing Graph Options from the Options menu.
You can add and change the title text and its color as well as remove the title completely. The title will be placed at the top of the graph.
You can choose special symbols (including subscripts and superscripts) included in the title by clicking .
Select Interpolate to activate the interpolate function. By moving the mouse along the curve, you can find corresponding values.
Select to display cursor position, in data coordinates, in the lower left of the graph. If you have selected a range in the graph, the width and height of the selected area will also be shown.
Select to display a legend using Data Column colors and names.
Add New Data Sets and Columns
Select so that whenever a Data Set or Column is created, it will automatically be added to the graph.
Point Symbols
A point symbol is a distinctively-shaped marker placed on top of a data point. Point symbols can be used to identify runs or sensors, or simply to make points more visible. Mark every Nth point with a circle, square, or other symbol. Choose the style and spacing in the Column Options dialog.
Connect Points
Connect data points with lines to create a continuous plotted line.
Bar Graph
Draw a bar from the x-axis for each data point (not recommended for graphs with more than 100 points).
Y and X Error Bars
Displays error bars in either the X or Y directions if an error has been defined for the column being plotted. To define an error for a column, you must go to the Column Options dialog.
Uncertainty Boxes
Displays 2-dimensional uncertainty boxes around each point if an error has been defined for both the Y and X columns. The Y and X Error Bars options must also be checked. To define an error for a column, you must go to the Column Options dialog.
Draw Visible Spectrum (Wavelength Graphs)
Display a wavelength "rainbow" in the background of the graph. This options is selected by default when a Spectrophotometer is attached. You can print the spectrum by checking the option in the Printing Options dialog.
Major and Minor Tick Style:
Select the style of line to draw at each major or minor tick mark.
Major and Minor Tick Color:
Select the color of the line to draw at each major or minor tick mark.
