Calibrate: Calibration Tab

A sensor's calibration controls how input to the sensor is converted to values with specific units. For instance, a Motion Detector has a calibration that converts input to position values in meters, and a different calibration that converts input to values in feet. Available calibration settings are shown in the Current Calibration drop-down menu. Note: Changing units of a sensor does not change a sensor's calibration.

Choosing Calibrate from the Experiment menu lists the sensor(s) in use and the channel it is connected to. All channels not in use are grayed out.

Within this dialog, you can begin manually calibrating a sensor.

Select the Sensor Information tab for information about the sensor in use.

Select the Equation / Options tab to manually enter the sensor's slope and intercept.

Select the Calibration Storage tab to store different calibration values for a sensor.
