menu. Turn off the Tangent function by clicking or clicking the X in the floating box.When the Tangent function is active, a short bar shows the slope of the line at the point closest to the mouse pointer. A helper object also displays the numerical slope at that point.
Turn on the Tangent function by either clicking on the toolbar
or by choosing Tangent from the Analyze

Logger Pro calculates the slope of the tangent by taking a weighted average of the slopes of points around the point of interest. The number of points can be set in the File Settings dialog as the Number of Points for Derivative Calculation.
