Statistics

The Statistics feature calculates the minimum, maximum, mean, standard deviation, and number of points of the selected data. When you choose Statistics from the Analyze menu or click the Statistics button in the toolbar, a helper object, which contains the statistics, is added to the graph. If more than one column is plotted, a selection dialog will open for you to select the columns for statistics calculation.

You can calculate statistics for all the data or just a selected portion of the data. If no data are selected, statistics will be calculated for all the data in the column. To select data, click and drag over the region of interest in the graph or data table. Black brackets mark the beginning and end of the selected range. You can click and drag the brackets and the statistics will update automatically.

To remove the statistical analysis, click the X in the upper corner of the statistics helper object. To hide the object, uncheck Show on Graph in the Statistics Options dialog. Choose Additional Object Options > Reveal Hidden Objects from the Options menu to re-display the object.
