Choose Accessibility>Settings from the File menu to access built-in assistive technology features for users who are visually impaired. Then, choose Audio Trace Graph or Toggle Audio Meter to turn on audio feedback for meters or graphs. Note: These features are only available on Windows computers.
Choose Accessibility>Settings from the File menu to set the following options.
Plays a tone for each point on the graph. The frequency of the toned is related in a linear way with the trace that is selected. For example, you can hear a frequency increase when the temperature of a Temperature Probe increases.
Playback length
Set the time period for the audio playback of the graph.
"Pop" on Graph Grid Lines
Select "Pop" on Graph Grid Lines, to make a sound play each time the trace reaches a grid line as the graph is playing back. Note that these "pops" are very subtle.
Traces/Fits to Play
Select which data are played back on the Audio Graph playback.
Start Playback
The Start Playback button starts the Audio Graph playback playing. You can also start the playback by selecting Accessibility>Start Audio Graph Trace. from the File menu.
Select Audio Feedback to hear audio feedback during calibration of sensors and during the warm up periods of calibration of Mini-GCs and spectrophotometers. It is off by default (unless a screen reader is installed), and can be turned on any time. If this box is checked it makes it easier for a person who is visually-impaired to do calibrations.
This will start to play a tone. The frequency is related in a linear way with the measurement that is selected in the box just below the Continuous Tone Meters box. Note that this can be useful for non-visually impaired people. It is a great way to find shorts, loose wires, intermittent connections, etc. It is also useful to alert you for an event that you have to wait for, like a peak on the GC-Mini.
Choose Accessibility>Timer from the File menu to add a simple, count-down audio timer. You can set a time period in hours, minutes, and seconds. A sound will occur when that time has elapsed. You can specify the sound to be produced from seven choices, from a simple click to a baby crying.
Choose Accessibility>Embossing Options... from the File menu to set options for embossed graphs.
Select a braille font from the list of fonts installed on your computer. Only braille fonts will result in properly embossed numbers and text on the graph.
The Scale Factor can be changed to work with the font you select.
Check Always Show This Dialog to have this dialog displayed each time you choose Accessibility>Emboss Graph... from the File menu.
Choose Accessibility>Emboss Graph... from the File menu to emboss only the graph, histogram, or FFT objects from your working page. More than one graph can be embossed simultaneously by selecting several graph objects at once. Use shift-click to select multiple graphs.
This dialog lets you select the embosser you are using, make multiple copies, set any additional properties for your embosser, etc.

Open the Graph Options dialog for the graph you want to emboss and change the following settings:
Uncheck the Point Symbols option
Select the Connected Points option
Uncheck Error Bars for both axes
Select Solid as the Major Tick Style and select No Line for the Minor Tick Style
If you wish to emboss the contents of the graph Helper Objects, you will need to adjust their font and scaling individually before embossing.
