OHAUS Balances

Logger Pro allows you to collect mass data from select models of OHAUS balances. An up-to-date list of supported models can be found on the Vernier web site.

The OHAUS balance connects directly to your computer, but can be used at the same time as another interface, such as a LabQuest. This allows you to simultaneously collect mass and temperature data or mass and pH data, for example.

Collecting Data Using an OHAUS Balance

1. Connect the OHAUS balance to a computer running Logger Pro. If you are connecting a balance to your computer using a USB connector, read the OHAUS instructions for your particular operating system. Important: Do not connect your OHAUS balance to your computer before Logger Pro is installed. If a balance is connected to the computer before Logger Pro is installed, it may have trouble finding the correct drivers.
2. If the OHAUS balance is not automatically identified in the toolbar (look for the OHAUS icon ), choose Connect Interface from the Experiment menu and select the correct port.
3. You are now ready to collect data with your balance.
