Linear Fit Options

Double-click on the Linear Fit helper object to call up the Linear Fit Options dialog box. Here you can change the appearance, displayed precision, and uncertainty.

Displayed Precision

Control the significant figures displayed in the object.

Appearance

Click Appearance to change the text font and color as it appears in the Helper object.

Show Uncertainty

Check Show Uncertainty to show the uncertainty of curve fit coefficients for Automatic curve fits. New linear fit helper boxes will be created using the current setting. That is, if Show Uncertainty is unchecked, uncertainty values will not be displayed for new linear fits. If it is checked, any new linear fits will show uncertainty. Note: Uncertainty values are the standard deviation of the fitted parameters. For more information see: Bevington, P. R. (1969). Data Reduction and Error Analysis for the Physical Sciences. Show on Graph

Uncheck Show on Graph to hide the helper object from the page. Choose Additional Object Options > Reveal Hidden Objects from the Options menu to return it to the graph.

Use Entire Range

Logger Pro will perform the calculations for a selected region of the graph. Check Use Entire Range to have Logger Pro perform the calculations on the entire column of data.
