Heat Pulser
You can add heat to an experiment (i.e. heat and
thermodynamics experiments) using a Heat Pulser. The duration of the
heat pulse is set in Logger Pro. Click to generate
the pulse.
Collecting Data Using the Heat Pulser
- Connect the Heat Pulser to a digital port of your interface
(LabQuest, LabQuest Mini, or LabPro).
- Choose Set Up Sensors from the Experiment
menu to set up the sensor manually
because Heat Pulsers are not auto-ID.
- Drag a Heat Sensor from the sensor list to the DIG port box
to which the Heat Pulser is connected.
- Click the Heat Pulser in the DIG port box to change the
duration of the pulse. Select OK.
- Start data collection. Click to generate the pulse. The data table will
keep track of when the heat pulser is activated, as well as its
duration.
