Copying Data to Other Applications
You can enter data into the data table and then copy it to other
applications. For example, text and/or data can be pasted into a word
processor for reports. Almost any program that supports pasting from
the clipboard can receive data from Graphical Analysis. In general you
can copy data into your application with the following steps (specific
instructions for moving data to Microsoft Word and Excel are
below):
General Copy and Paste Steps
- Select the data you want to copy.*
- Choose Copy from the Edit menu to copy the data to
the clipboard.
- Launch the other application.
- Choose Paste from the Edit menu in the other
application.
Copy and Paste into Microsoft® Excel®
- Select the data you want to copy into Excel.*
- Choose Copy from the Edit menu to copy the data to
the clipboard.
- Start Excel and open the document into which you want to paste the
data.
- In Excel, click on the cell that will be the upper left corner of
the data region, then choose Paste from the Edit
menu. You are now ready to analyze the data as you wish.
Copy and Paste into Microsoft® Word
- Select the data you want to copy into Microsoft Word.*
- Choose Copy from the Edit menu to copy the data to
the clipboard.
- Start Microsoft Word and open the receiving document.
- In Microsoft Word, choose Paste from the Edit
menu.
* Note: You can only copy the data that are selected. To
select all the data in a column, single-click the column heading. To
copy all of the data in a data table, select the data table and
choose Select All from the Edit menu. You can also
select data by clicking and dragging over a region of the graph. If a
region is selected in a graph, the corresponding range will be
selected on the table.
