Monday

Team,
We'll finish our study of water with Barron's chapters 3 (water) and 7 (land use). We have some new material to cover, including ENSO and the arctic vortex, both elements in the blizzards of the past weeks. We'll also resume our viewing of the 21 minute e3 videos, this week with "A Garden in Cairo" which we've chosen because you already know what is going on in Cairo, this gives you another view from an environmental perspective.
We'll be visiting the Aquaponics system that Howard and Pat Hall (teachers at HPA for the past 30 years) have just created. Mr. Emmons will show us how to measure nitrates, DO and other key elements of this closed, sustainable ecosystem. We'll have a field trip there the week of 2.14 (valentine's day), so get your chocolates ready.

Monday:
