Choosing Select All from the Edit menu selects all of the data in the currently selected object (data table, graph, or text objects, for example), or all objects if one is not selected.
If the data table is the selected object, all the data will be highlighted. It is an easy way to select all data in a large data table without dragging over the entire table.
