Interpolation Calculator

Use the Interpolation Calculator to interpolate a curve fit's x-value based on a y-value and subsequently display the values on the graph. The interpolation calculator is different from the interpolate function in that the Interpolation Calculator remains in place while the interpolate function moves with the cursor.

Using the Interpolation Calculator

  1. Perform a curve fit or linear fit on your collected data.
  2. Choose Interpolation Calculator from the Analyze menu.
  3. Choose the Curve Fit you want the interpolation calculator to use.
  4. The current live sensor reading will be entered as the default y-value. You can use this value or enter a value.
  5. You can change the Appearance of the helper object by clicking Appearance.
  6. Click OK when done. A helper object with the x- and y-values appears on the graph. This can be updated by double-clicking the helper object to view the options dialog. If the curve fit dialog has multiple x-values for a given y-value, the square brackets of the Interpolation Calculator can be used to select the region of the fit used for interpolation.
