Choosing Extend Collection from the Experiment menu will increase the duration of a time-based data collection by 50%. For example, the default time for a Stainless Steel Temperature probe is 180 seconds. If you choose Extend Collection before or during data collection, the run will be extended to 270 seconds. You can extend the run multiple times: 360 seconds will be extended to 405 seconds, and so on.
The value after Extend Collection in the Experiment menu indicates how long data collection will last. If the duration of data collection is 10 seconds, the menu item will read Extend Collection (15 s).
Note: This will not add data to a previous Data Set. To do that, choose Append to Latest .
