Autoscale

The Autoscale command quickly resets the axes of the currently selected graph based on the data. It is an easy way to automatically scale both axes. Autoscale will set the axes scales so that all the data just fits on the graph while still following standard scientific graphing rules.

Autoscale the graph by clicking the Autoscale button Autoscale button graphic. Note: It is possible to do the same thing by clicking each of the axis labels, selecting More, and then selecting Autoscale or by choosing Autoscale from the Analyze menu.

Autoscale Larger is the default mode for all graphs, except FFT graphs (the default mode for FFT graphs is Autoscale). The Autoscale Larger setting means that the graph won't get smaller when new points are added. If a new point is off the graph, then the graph will be enlarged to include it.

When you autoscale, the y-axis may not necessarily include the origin, so you may want to perform a more limited Autoscale by choosing Autoscale from Zero.
